Acer 'Koto Hime'

Acer palmatum Koto Hime is a gorgeous dwarf variety of Japanese Maple tree. In Spring, new leaves show a lovely rose-pink colour, which eventually fades into a light green in Summertime. As Autumn approaches, the foliage will take on a yellow-blended orange hue to spark further character into the plant in the latter part of the year. A great variety for growing in pots, containers and planting in various outdoor landscapes.

This Acer is renowned for its beauty, but also for its manageable care requirements. It thrives in partially shaded areas, whilst coping well with elements of full sun. The shade will help protect its delicate leaves from scorching. The plant grows best in moist, well-drained soils and will benefit from regular watering when the soil is dry.
